The Mountain stood before the climber as an obstacle to be conquered.
The Mountain knew the climber’s goal was to ascend the peak.
It was a battle of weather vs. want, wonder vs. will.
The Mountain would call his fellow nature bearers:
the wind, the rocks and the rough terrain,
the rain and the thunderstorms composed of lightning and hail.
The climber attacked the mountain with tenacity and desire to overcome.
Had only the climber taken into consideration all that the mountain would hurl his way,
the climber may have prepared and sought guidance from the wise trail breakers
and those who had gone before.
For in the end, the Mountain still stood and still stands for others to climb.
