Super Moons 2015

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years… Genesis 1:14

The size of the moon at its closest and furthest point from the earth

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. ~Yeshua, Luke 21:25

20 March 2015 (Nisan 1 on the Biblical calendar) is the Jewish New Year, the 1st day of the first month, it is also the Spring equinox, which is also a day when a total solar eclipse occurs…by a super-newmoon.

20 March 2015 Total Solar eclipse

“It is unlikely … for these things to line up,” says Christine Wilson, president of the Canadian Astronomical Society.

Solar Eclipse from the Earth’s orbit

Richard Noelle, an astronomer termed the moon at its closest point to the earth, whether full or new a “supermoon” back in 1979.

Perigee (closest point); Apogee (furthest point)

In 2015 there are 6 supermoons, with the closest of the supermoons occurring on 28 September (15 Tishrei), also a total lunar eclipse that falls on the Biblical appointed time of Sukkot (Tabernacles).

What is the probability of solar and lunar eclipses:
Probability of total solar eclipse: $4.2\%$
Probability of annular solar eclipse: $7.7\%$
Probability of partial solar eclipse: $6.6\%$
Probability of any solar eclipse: $18.5\%$

For a full moon we get:

Probability of total lunar eclipse: $5.2\%$
Probability of partial lunar eclipse: $6.5\%$
Probability of any lunar eclipse: $11.7\%$
20 March total Solar Eclipse- National Post:

These statistics are the probability of a total solar/lunar eclipse (4.2%; 5.2%) happening on any given day, but what happens to the probability when you add a specific day into the mix?

Then have it happen 4 times in a row?

In a specific year (Smita)?

And the inclusion of 2 supermoons with the solar and lunar eclipses?

Do you see where I am going?  The probability of these eclipses happening on particular given days are not an accident or a coincidence.  The main argument I have seen against the blood moons theory is based on the fact that the Hebrew calendar is lunar based, that is correct, but it is also solar based, which they do not point out in their arguments.  The Hebrew calendar is the only solar/lunar based calendar- the Gregorian calendar (which we follow) is solely solar based, while the Islamic calendar is solely lunar based.

These signals in the sun and moon that are occurring are not man made events (mme), they are God Designed Events (GDE).  The Hebrew calendar is God Designed, filled with His Appointed Times (Passover-Tabernacles), connected to both signals that He created and set in motion.

What do these signs in the sun, moon, and stars mean?  Could it be the day that Joel and Peter spoke of?

And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

Joel 2:30,31

Could be!  But I would rather step back and see what is happening around us at this present time, than look to the future of the unknown.

The altar of sacrifice and its location outside of the temple

Temple Institute has announced the rebuilding of the altar of sacrifice in Jerusalem.  Passover is just 2 weeks away!

The Jewish people have been declared to be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount.

There is a total solar eclipse on 1 Nisan (20 March).

There is a total lunar eclipse on Passover 15 Nisan (4 April), the third of four blood moons in this Appointed times tetrad.

These are interesting times for sure!

  1. Thanks for putting these things into a coherent perspective. The critics would label all this as coincidence, but there is too much happening to dismiss the strangeness of these times. The wise would accelerate calls to the Almighty to explain what these things mean and what we should be doing!

    1. You are so right Al! Wisdom comes to those who ask and seek it, there is just too much going on at the same time for the questions not to be asked. Great point in asking for discernment- I know I need it for sure!

  2. Great post! I’ve done some reading that connects the “Appointed Times of God” to Moses’ Tabernacle. It’s too layered to explain, but I would love to connect to discuss…

    In a nut shell:

    Appointed Times:
Passover —- (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits) focuses on Redemption and Cleansing.
Pentecost —- (Harvest, His Word, Holy Spirit) focuses on Abundant Provision.
Tabernacle —- (Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacle) focuses on Dwelling in His Glory.

    Moses’ Temple:
Outer Court focuses on Redemption and Cleansing.
Holy Place focuses on Abundant Provision.
Holy of Holies focuses on Dwelling in His Glory.

    * I believe the cycle of these Appointed Times was designed to transport us from the Redemption of sin, living by faith through His Provision, to experience the Joy of living in His Presence. I too believe that the “signs” come into play, as we have discussed personally.

    1. Would love to hear what you are learning, Paul- there are so many layers that when you discover one layer, it opens up into a dozen more. I do believe the Temple is what the Jews are seeking to rebuild, and with the altar of sacrifice ready to go, I think we are seeing the beginning of something many have longed for, for almost 2000 years!
